According to the U.S. Constitution: Only Congress shall make laws. What changed
over the past few decades? Executive Orders with the force of law and daily new
regulatory laws. Something rare has become all to common and all too abused.
Legislative Branch composes laws - general with some specifics; Exec Branch
does most specifics, mostly regs to explain law, implement and enforce. You might
argue that congress doesn't have time to compose and pass all the specifics
(because gov has become so BIG which is a problem unto itself!) in which case they
should remain undone until which time they can get around to it! There would be
the general and a few specifics which suits us just fine!!!! To state that we live in a
fee country is laughable when Executive Branch agencies have enacted God knows
how many laws on citizens and businesses stifling liberty and stifling economic
growth. Congress must do its job. Unelected officials have no right determining
the parameters of our rights. Bureaucrats have an insatiable appetite to control
the citizenry for its own good.
According to "On Common Ground," a PBS/CUNY doc series, the courts grant
considerable latitude and deference to agencies interpretation of congressional laws.
Naturally, series doesn't have a problem with this: PBS/CUNY!
It is our understanding that presidents have enjoyed a great deal of latitude as
regards Executive Orders (sort of Presidential Laws) since FDR's 1930's. Prior to
then, virtually all were like Congressional Resolutions which might have influence but
don't possess force of law. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freeing southern
slaves was designed to encourage black slaves to flee the south to weaken southern
economy during war was for all intent and purposes an EO of the old school.
Didn't the Founding Father's give the power to make law to congress? Perhaps,
one can accept a president doing an EO with the force of law in cases of dire
national crisis but not as virtually a routine matter
But what about when Congress is on record? Two years ago, Obama couldn't
get the then dem-controlled Congress (passed, House; failed to secure 60 votes in
Senate) to approve of "Cap-and-Trade" and "Dream Act." The former would be
detrimental to economy and shed jobs - Obama is good at that. The latter would
make children of illegalls, American citizens automatically. They could earn their
citizenship by ATTENDING COLLEGE or SERVING IN THE MILITARY!!! (After
the Civil War, an amendment was passed making slave children citizens
adults dealt with in separate amendment. Libs contend that this means that 'anchor'
babies are automatically citizens. It was written for slaves. What a stretch. Libs love
reading things into legal docs that aren't there! They would be citizens from birth -
it would apply to those under 18. (Presently, many illegals are enjoying a college
education with grants and at a lower tuition than Americans courtesy of lib govs,
mayors, college presidents!).
According to "Decoded" on the History Channel, illegals are joining the military
for citizenship and something else: their Grade A training which they take with
them after they serve their tour-of-duty to the Mexican gangs in the U.S. from
whence they came. These gangs are the biggest to threat law-and-order with
groups like the Mafia insignificant in comparison. BO is a treat to public safety
One step closer to amnesty.

implementing C-&-C and Dream Act piecemeal via EOs! Should this constitute a

Last year, Obama instructed Justice Department to no longer defend "Marriage
Protection Act" in court. Unconstitutional: A president can't pick and choose
which laws passed by congress will be implemented and defended. This Act
prevents fed gov from recognizing same-sex marriages (and, indirectly, from
acknowledging any non-traditional union: polygamy, triads, incest {they're both
over 21), bestiality ("I love my German Shepard, he's a real animal in bed!), man-
inanimate, man-self (You just can't eat one; society and gov shouldn't be in the
business of sanctioning that which is abnormal, immoral, unnatural. What about:
man-child, spank-me-please, tie-me-up, hit-me-hard, cross-dressing, etc.
New York just became the 7th state to legalize same-sex marriage. Marriage was
created to celebrate traditional family unit, sacrament and procreation for the
survival of the species. On 6/26 in New York, they will their annual "gay

medicine are moving away from it and are loosening their grip on banks and
businesses. We're headed to where they have been and are leaving.

Passing Arms Agreement is tantamount to committing an act of treason. The
republican party has gone soft on national security and takes social conservatives
for granted. I hope that obama, who has always been ashamed of the fact that America is
the world's only military superpower and has done everything within his power to prop up
russia and treat it as if it was still a player, is happy with his foreign policy victory...I don't
believe that the republicans in congress are capable of making the necessary spending cuts
to prevent potential national bankruptcy, loss of Triple 'A' Bond Rating downgraded to AA+ by
one of the Big Three, subjecting future generations to smothering debt that precludes
economic growth. Cutting spending levels, as they are
suggesting to 2008 levels, won't cut it.The nut Ross Perot was prescient way back in 1993...
Obama must think that we are stupid: he claims that hand-cuffs on
anti-missile system are only in preamble and, therefore, don't count! And, yet. a
few months ago he whispered to Russian Prime Minister that he would have more
lariritude regarding the arms agreement after he was reelected. Do you think
that it meant to strengthen or weaken it in our favor! He didn't know 'mike' was
listening.
A bad agreement which freezes a 10,000 to 200 advantage for Russia in
tactical (short-range) nuclear weapons and drastically limits are ability to
develop an effective ant-missile system against rogue nations and terrorist
groups in the future. More: Extremely limits are ability to replace nuclear
warheads with conventionally-tipped warheads - a concept that we have been
championing for years. War from a distance. Cost effective: better then destroying
missiles as Russia wants to compel us to do. Floored and dangerous pact. - which
BO intends to make worse.
Obama already offended real friends Czech Republic and Poland over issue when he
bowed and sacrificed U.S. missile/radar system slated for deployment in those countries
in spite of their fear of Russia, they had agreed to the deployment. Putin promised to get
even with those nations when they told Bush to deploy in spite of their anxieties. Putty
said he would still get even after Obama sold them out. The little 'o' is praying that a
smaller and ineffective shield will receive putty blessing. Had Nixon ABM not been c
anceled in 1972 and had Reagan's SDI not been shrunk under Clinton, we would have
super/impenetrable shield today with tremendous collateral technological benefits for
private sector.
